View All Discount Offers on Cart Page

Offering discounts for your online store can be a powerful weapon in your conversion arsenal to drive customer loyalty. But when used haphazardly, you can do significant damage to your brand or, worse, become unprofitable.

An ecommerce shopping cart is an element on your site that allows your visitor to purchase your product/service. All Shopify plans include discount codes. In regular Shopify stores we do not get to view the discount codes and only get to apply them on the checkout page. There is no discount box on the shopping cart page where customers would expect it from other popular online stores, so they get confused and leave your store.

Here is an example of a Shopify website which displays the code on the top bar but there is no option to add it on the cart page.

In order to make it easier for the users, we have integrated a custom functionality which enables them to view all the available offer codes on the cart page. On click of ‘View All Offers’ which opens into a popup showing the list of codes so that the customer can directly select one from there. After adding a valid coupon code, it gets applied to the cart as well as checkout and a message is displayed “Total calculated at checkout”. This will increase your conversion rate by letting customers know how much they will save already before going to checkout.

Most popular ecommerce websites include this field on the cart page which encourages the customers to proceed to payment. This simple customization of the shopping cart page will greatly increase customer satisfaction and ultimately lead to more sales for your shop.
